‘Get them off’… Jamie O’Hara names the three Tottenham players Ange Postecoglou needs to sell in January
Jamie O’Hara has now shared his thoughts on Ange Postecoglou’s future squad planning at Tottenham Hotspur as January now approaches.
Everyone at the club understands how important this transfer window is for the Spurs, a team in critical need of players.
But it can be just as crucial that the team effectively rotates through its playing roster, letting go of players from the past.
Jamie O’Hara has now provided three names that he believes Tottenham should sell—players who won’t help Postecoglou’s team—in response to that description.
The commentator mentioned the salary bill when he spoke this morning on talkSPORT.
O’Hara stated: “You look at it today saying, ‘When you lose [Cristian] Romero, [Micky] van de Ven, and [James] Maddison, all of a sudden
“Ben Davies is okay, [Eric] Dier, [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg. But the word has gone out to Dier, Hojbjerg, and [Hugo] Lloris that they are free to depart.
Thus, I believe that players will be departing. Even if they are just making a few pounds, you must remove them from the wage bill.
Naturally, very few Tottenham supporters would likely contest the wisdom of Dier, Hojbjerg, or Lloris’ January departure.

Nevertheless, it appears like Spurs are making some headway with individuals who could join the team.
Since Postecoglou came in North London, Conor Gallagher’s name has frequently been associated with the side.
And according to an update from yesterday, it appears that Spurs are now approaching Chelsea’s valuation.
Tottenham is also reportedly extremely close to making their first January acquisition, with a £30 million defender expected to join.
