Sean Dyche’s hilarious Ange Postecoglou wish ahead of clash with Tottenham
Everton boss Sean Dyche has expressed his admiration for Ange Postecoglou ahead of their clash with Tottenham Hotspur, admitting he would like to “crack a cold one open” with the Spurs boss.
Postecoglou has already become a fan favourite in England for his relaxed demeanour and witty responses in press conferences and interviews.
Dyche admitted before their upcoming match against Spurs on Sunday (AEDT), that he is also a fan of the Aussie and what he has achieved at Tottenham in a short period of time.
“[He is] my type of guy,” Dyche said with a grin. “Maybe we can crack a cold one open.
“I don’t know him but I like what I’ve heard, and the way he’s speaking very honestly, he recently said that he wants to win. He said he doesn’t want to be known for how he plays, he wants to be known to win.
“I must say that approach has renewed me. That seems like the kind of man I like.
With a victory this weekend at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs, who are now fifth in the Premier League standings, may move up into the top four. After losing their previous five games in a row, Postecoglou’s team has won their last two.
Everton, however, is seven points above the drop zone even after receiving a ten-point punishment for breaking financial sustainability regulations.
But after winning their previous four league games, Dyche’s squad is among the best in the league.
