The Englishman played with Spurs for more than ten years in the 1970s and 1980s before coming back to coach the team for a few years in 2001.

Hoddle was an incredible player when he was younger. He participated in more than 300 Tottenham games and assisted on more than 80 goals.

Hoddle is still revered by supporters who recall his style of play, and it appears that Angel Postcoglou shares same sentiment for the legendary Spurs player.

The Premier League’s official YouTube channel included an On The Spot segment where the Tottenham manager was asked to select a legend he would love to have on his team right now.

Hoddle was named by Postecoglou very fast.

He declared, “I’ll go with Glenn Hoddle, a Spurs player.” Something extraordinary was always going to occur when he was on the ball.

Tottenham can climb up the table tomorrow

With a game this weekend before any of their competitors, Tottenham has a significant advantage.

Tomorrow night, Spurs play Nottingham Forest. Ange Postecoglou’s team may move up to fourth place and only three points behind Arsenal with a victory over the Reds, moving them ahead of Manchester City.

Spurs would benefit greatly from that as it would put pressure on the other teams in the top-four race before they play this weekend.

How Postecoglou’s guys perform tomorrow will be interesting to see. Hoddle is undoubtedly going to be cheering for his team to win while watching.
