Hooker Mbonambi has accused England of being “unprofessional”

England rugby star Tom Curry has doubled down on his allegation that South Africa’s Bongi Mbonambi racially abused him in the World Cup semi-final.

Curry claimed that he was called a “white c***” by the Springboks player halfway through the first half of the encounter in Paris, but World Rugby deemed “insufficient evidence” to support his allegation.

Hooker Mbonambi, who says the “misunderstanding” sprang from Curry’s failure to realize he was speaking Afrikaans—a tactic the Springboks frequently employ to make sure their opponents do not comprehend their messages—has accused England of being “unprofessional” in response to the charges.
