’Is this how you play football?’ Alarming report emerges in respect of one Spurs player
Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele has been heavily criticised after Galatasaray’s disappointing 2-2 draw in the Champions League opener against Copenhagen.
The Turkish giants faced the Danish team in their easiest game of the group, but they still had to come back from 2-0 down to tie 2-2.
Several Galatasaray players received criticism for their efforts, especially the Spurs disaster.
‘SkySpor’s’ Batuhan Karadeniz harshly criticized the players, saying they didn’t seem game-ready.
He criticized the coach for fielding the incorrect team and objected to some of his decisions.
Additionally, he criticized Ndombele’s physical condition as he launched into a lengthy tirade regarding several players.According to Superhaber, he said:
“Ndombele was more ready when he entered the last match, he was in a worse situation than I saw in yesterday’s match.”
“What did you do, brother? Did you eat Istanbul? You will hire a dietician and get a scale to check your condition. Is this how you play football?”
Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez joined the Turkish club on permanent contracts after completing a late loan transfer.
Since joining Galatasaray, he has only played in three games, entering as a substitute each time.
Although the club has the option to purchase him on a long-term contract, it is quite doubtful that they will exercise that option.
Tottenham paid a club record £63 million to acquire Ndombele from Lyon in 2019, but he has fallen short of expectations since then. None of the club’s recent managers were really impressed by him.

The gifted 24-year-old progressed through Spurs’ ranks, but he simply wasn’t given enough chances at the top level. In the summer of 2019, he was discharged after only one appearance.

Marcus Edwards was an extremely good footballer who should have succeeded at Tottenham.
The now 24-year-old had an absolutely amazing campaign for Sporting Lisbon last year, scoring 12 goals and dishing out 14 assists across all competitions.
Edwards’ potential is well known throughout Portugal, and it won’t be long until he transfers to a league with a far higher standard of play.
It must not be too long before he receives an international call-up, but the Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has claimed the right flank position for the England team, which presents a challenge for him.
Carlos Freitas, who was Vitoria Guimaraes’ sporting director when he signed Edwards from Tottenham on a free transfer in 2019, is still a big fan of the winger and has backed him to replace Saka.
He told A Bola: “He has characteristics and potential for this. He is a difficult player to find with the qualities he has in one-to-one and is very strong in small spaces, he can be a pivotal player.
“I see him, for example, taking the place of Bukayo Saka, who is a more explosive player, who benefits from playing with a club like Arsenal, but is also not a continuum throughout the season.”
Apart from Lionel Messi and Mo Salah, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is the best right-winger in the world.
