‘I really like his character’: Tim Sherwood wowed by Tottenham man who looks so happy to be at N17
Tottenham Hotspur is now second in the Premier League after an impressive start to the season.
Spurs have won their previous three games straight while playing excellent football.
Tottenham enters the international break with absolutely no cause for concern.
It hasn’t taken Ange Postecoglou very long to leave his mark on the Spurs team.
During the summer transfer window, Tottenham made some astute acquisitions that seem to mesh well with the group.
In addition, Spurs play exciting and reliable football as a result of Postecoglou’s coaching style.
‘Really appreciates the opportunity’
Tim Sherwood was ready to compliment the new Tottenham manager when he spoke on Optus Sport.
The former Spurs manager anticipated the next games, calling them a “acid test” for his team.
On Saturday, September 16, Tottenham will visit Sheffield United following the break for international play.
On Sunday, September 24, Spurs will travel to the Emirates Stadium to face fierce rivals Arsenal.
Postecoglou’s team will then play Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium six days later.
They will approach the test with great confidence, Sherwood said, but it will be the “acid test.”
“Tottenham currently has a manager who is not doing Tottenham any favors by working there.
“Someone who truly values the chance to oversee a sizable club.
He is a quiet man, and I genuinely admire his nature. He’s clearly a favorite with the players since they’ve warmed up to him.
The arrival of Postecoglou at Tottenham seemed to cause some division among the supporters.
There can’t be many Tottenham fans who still believe the Australian isn’t the ideal fit for the team, though.
Postecoglou has seized control of Spurs in just a few months and transformed them into a team their supporters can be proud of.
It’s still extremely early, of course. However, Tottenham’s improved performance now augurs well for the remainder of the season and beyond.
