SPURS CONSIDERING MOVE FOR £25M POSTECOGLOU FAVOURITE

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Al Ittihad winger Jota in a potential reunion with Ange Postecoglou.

The statements also had Jota saying that having grown up playing football in a similar way, working under a manager like Postecoglou was “really important” to him.

You have to assume that Jota would seize the opportunity if Postecoglou called and suggested a get-together at Tottenham.

It still seems improbable that Jota will leave Saudi Arabia this soon after joining, but even if a loan move is a possibility, Spurs and Postecoglou will undoubtedly be in the running.

In light of this, Spurs might select a player who is well-acquainted with manager Ange Postecoglou.

According to 90Min, Tottenham has been informed of the prospective availability of winger Jota from Al Ittihad.

Jota was acquired by Al Itthad from Celtic earlier this summer in a club-record, £25 million move, but he may have already left.

There have been rumors of a loan move elsewhere to make room for Al Ittihad to recruit Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool.

Tottenham is supposedly “considering” a deal for Jota, which could bring him back together with manager Postecoglou.

Jota loved playing under Ange Postecoglou at Celtic

In the summer of 2021, when Postecoglou took over as the Bhoys manager, Jota moved to Celtic on loan from Benfica.

The Portuguese wideman made his loan transfer permanent last summer and scored 28 goals and provided 26 assists in 83 games for Postecoglou.

Even Jota praised Postecoglou’s approach to football, describing it as “tremendous” in statements found on Celts Are Here.
