Burnley have work to do in potential deal to sign winger
According to The Athletic, Burnley still needs to make progress in their talks to capture Genk winger Mike Tresor before the transfer window closes.
Since being promoted, the Clarets have added a ton of players, but they are still shopping a few days before the window closes.
Tresor has been a top target for Burnley the whole summer, and Vincent Kompany has been looking to bolster his squad’s attacking options.
Prior to the deadline on Friday, the newly promoted Premier League team made a strong effort to recruit the winger.
Although the two teams are currently in talks, Burnley still needs to do some work before they can sign him.
Negotiations between the two parties could result in Tresor moving to Turf Moor on a loan agreement with an obligation to purchase.
However, a number of issues still need to be resolved, including the deal’s structure and the cost of the buy clause.
Before Friday’s transfer deadline, Burnley is optimistic that a deal will be in place for Tresor to move to England.
The highly regarded winger led Genk with 24 assists and eight goals last year.
