Tottenham chief Daniel Levy working on three more exits as summer signing joins new club
Before the end of the month, Tottenham wants to reduce the number of players in their playing roster.
Three other players may leave Tottenham with young player Ashley Phillips, who was sent on loan to Plymouth Argyle for the remainder of the campaign. According to reports, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is trying to clear space for many Ange Postecoglou targets by arranging three departures by the end of the month.
The highly-rated Phillips, who cost £3 million to sign from Blackburn Rovers during the summer, has not yet made a professional game for Tottenham. As a result, Levy and company approved a loan move to Plymouth Argyle, which both teams announced on Monday.
The England Under-19 center defender will play in the Championship to conclude the season, and Spurs are in the process of signing Radu Dragusin to improve Postecoglou’s defense. Hugo Lloris and Phillips are the first two players to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this winter; Lloris moved permanently to Los Angeles FC, while Phillips left for good.
The Guardian reports that Eric Dier has already reached a personal agreement to join Bayern Munich. Despite a dearth of defense injuries, the 29-year-old has not been able to force his way into Postecoglou’s plans.
The England international, who can play in defensive midfield or as a member of the defense line, is reportedly a target for Thomas Tuchel. A permanent agreement would save Spurs a little sum of money for a player whose contract has fewer than six months remaining.
There is also a chance that Djed Spence will be shipped out of north London. The 23-year-old was brought in by Antonio Conte, but the Italian manager was unable to leave his impression, and this season he was loaned to Leeds United.
