‘School boy’…Jamie O’Hara slams Tottenham player after what he did today
Tottenham had a first half to forget against rivals Arsenal today as they succumbed to being 3-0 down at the break and Jamie O’Hara was not happy.
Ange Postecoglou’s side were well in the game but came undone thanks to Arsenal’s set-pieces once again producing the goods for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Tottenham was really disappointed in their set-piece defense, considering how effectively Arsenal has performed against them this season.
Still, the Spurs had more defensive issues. And from more than simply dead-end circumstances.
Arsenal had several opportunities to score additional goals before Bukayo Saka cruised home for a 2-0 victory. They took advantage of the space behind Tottenham.
Saka scored after cutting inside Ben Davies, a Tottenham defender, and firing the ball past Victorio in the goal.
Speaking about the incident and Davies’ defensive play on X, former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara expressed his annoyance at the Welshman for what he described as “school boy stuff.”
Tottenham missed Destiny Udogie as Ben Davies struggles
It was a real shame we didn’t get to see the power and pace of Udogie against Saka and Ben White down the left side today.
Spurs lost a lot because of his injury, and in the end, Davies was unable to keep up with Saka, the England international, who was swift, direct, and cunning.
Saka did a great job executing the goal, but as O’Hara points out, it was far too simple. He should have been more aware of what was about to happen.
Tottenham may try to bring in another left-back as they have work to do this summer.
Davies has had a fantastic career and has been a devoted member of the Spurs team for only about £10 million.
However, with wingers like Saka in the league these days, it may be time for everyone to move on and allow Udogie flourish with a young backup behind him.
