With an aggregate rating of 86, Lole has a three-star transfer ranking from 247Sports Network. He has one more year of eligibility left as a seventh-year senior.Lole decides to finish his career at Oklahoma over Washington, Texas A&M, and USC after attending OU for their spring game.

For the Cardinals in 2023, Lole made 12 appearances and started nine games. In the end, he had 19 tackles., including five for a loss and 1.5 sacks, while also logging a QB hurry and a pair of pass breakups. Lole joined the U of L program late prior to the 2022 season, committing to the Cardinals in late May. He arrived during the summer and at the time had to work himself into shape. At the time of his commitment, Lole was the No. 2 prospect available in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.

In a season-opening 31-7 loss to Syracuse, Lole was the backup to defensive lineman Dez Tell. Lole played 25 snaps and graded out as a top-six player on the defensive side of the ball for Louisville, according to Pro Football Focus. But he was injured late in the game and never played the rest of the year, sitting out the remainder of the Season 2022.

Lole attended Arizona State for his first year of college before moving on to Louisville. Lole was a successful interior pass rusher for the Sun Devils during his three seasons there, tallying 123 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and eight pass breakups.

After a brief spring training with the Cardinals, Lole, who declared on January 19 of this year that he intended to return to Louisville for another season, had some practice under his belt. He ultimately decided to transfer, though, and he soon rose to prominence as a player on the portal.

Oklahoma will enter the SEC in July, and in the lead-up to the move, the Sooners have dedicated a great deal of attention to strengthening their defensive line of scrimmage. Up until now, that objective has mostly been achieved, with Lole strengthening a group of defensive tackles that is already quite good.

With a veteran front-line player in Da’Jon Terry, a developing player in Graden Halton, two nationally recognized true freshmen in David Stone and Jayden Jackson, and more depth in Devon Sears or Ashton Sanders, Oklahoma is well-prepared for the SEC. However, the chamber, which was among the greatest and most knowledgeable among the defensive lineman inA blood clot problem reappeared, forcing Jacob Lacey to retire medically. Even though Lacey is still involved in the program and lends a hand when he can, replacing his production was going to be a difficult undertaking. Lole could intervene in that situation.

Lole would have little trouble competing for a lot of playing time and possibly taking Lacey’s starting position. It’s probably a major factor in why OU and Lole eventually clicked. Oklahoma’s defensive tackles are obviously gifted, but as a younger team, they could use another player with NCAA experience at the position. To be honest, Lole offers that and more.
