Forest were given a four-point deduction this month following a breach of the Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules in the three-year period ending in 2023-24.
They exceeded their allowable losses by £34.5million and were handed an initial six-point penalty which was reduced down by two due to the club’s compliance in the investigation.

However, Forest released aon Monday (25 March) revealing that they have appealed the decision.
The appeal verdict will not be delivered until May 24 – five days after the end of the 2023-24 season.
Everton have successfully appealed their initial 10-point deduction from earlier this season to reduce the punishment to just six points.
Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke said: “It would be very foolish of Forest to go ahead with this appeal if they haven’t had some insight that they weren’t going to get a further punishment.”
“Otherwise, they’re writing their own death sentence.”
