‘Going to the very top:’: David Ornstein says everyone in football thinks £26m Spurs target will be a star
As we approach deadline day, it appears that the Norwegian forward, who has recently been linked to teams like Tottenham and Brentford, will not be leaving Club Brugge before the end of play.
But Nusa’s lack of progress this month might just be a postponement of what is sure to happen.
This young youngster has, in fact, been courted by numerous elite teams, and David Ornstein, speaking on The Athletic’s social media, claims that many believe he will become the best player in the world.
Nusa expected to be a star
Ornstein shared what he knows about the attacker.
“That’s an interesting one from the other day. Nusa is a talent who anyone who you speak to in football thinks is going to the very top, it was quite remarkable, and fair play to Brentford for getting the agreement. Everything seemed set, and that was beating the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Liverpool, Newcastle and loads more, some complications arose, but all we know is that deal was pretty much off. Would that open the door for others? Those complications may be an issue for them as well, and time has been ticking and if there’s a re-negotiation to happen that takes time,” Ornstein said.
“I don’t expect others to pick it up before the deadline now. The most likely thing is that it’s going to be re-addressed by clubs going into the summer.”
Go for him again
If Nusa is as good as Ornstein says, then Spurs need to make sure they’re in for him again this summer.
Indeed, it’s not often you get the chance to sign a player who is this highly rated, and if Nusa is indeed available for that £26m fee this summer, he could prove to be an absolute bargain.
This could well be one to watch this summer for multiple Premier League sides.
