“Does not want to leave” – Agent confirms Tottenham’s interest in defender but makes discouraging claims

Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin is strongly linked with a move to Tottenham, but the latest comments from his agent will leave Spurs fans worried.

There have been a lot of developments in the last few days regarding the transfer.

While Dragusin has reportedly agreed personal terms with Spurs, talks with Genoa are ongoing and the two clubs are yet to come to an agreement.

Spurs initiated discussions with an initial verbal bid of €23 million, falling short of Genoa’s demand of €30 million.

Additionally, Rudy Galetti, a journalist for Sky Sports, stated earlier today that Spurs are preparing a another bid that would be more in line with their value.

Nevertheless, Florin Manea, the defender’s agent, has made some recent remarks that are not very positive. He acknowledged to TV Play that the play could require some persuasion to go from Genoa in the middle of the season.

Through Last Word On Spurs, he stated:

“At this time, he does not want to leave, but I have had contact with clubs in the Premier League, including Tottenham and others.”

TBH Says:

We are not sure what to make of these comments. His agent’s comments are contradictory to what the likes of Romano and Galetti have been reporting.

There’s a chance the agent aims to craft a positive narrative, insinuating that while the player intended to stay, the club opted to offload him, preserving a favourable image among the supporters.
