Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a number of signings from Celtic since arriving at Tottenham.

Indeed, a number of Celtic’s star players have been linked with a move to north London and a reunion with their former gaffer, but, as of yet, nothing has come to fruition on that front.

But with January rapidly approaching, Spurs are once more searching the market for fresh players, and several Celtic players are, naturally, on their radar.

Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey once again identified Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi as goals for the Spurs. Interestingly, though, he also mentioned Daizen Maeda as a player that the team is eager to add this winter.

Bailey shared what he knows about Tottenham’s transfer plans.

“Jota is an interesting one. Keep an eye on him, they do like Hatate, Furuhashi and Maeda from Celtic as well, but Jota, it may be easier to go and get him from Saudi than going raiding up north in Scotland. Getting some of these players from Celtic would be cheaper than some of these European players, so I wouldn’t rule him out going to Celtic,” Bailey said.

A move for Maeda to Spurs would make a lot of sense.

While Denmark did qualify for next year’s Euros, they did so in a rather difficult fashion, with their latest result far from ideal.

They had a very poor game on Monday night, losing 2-0 against Northern Ireland, with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg of Tottenham leading the way.

The Danish media quickly became interested in the Spurs player, and Bold.dk reported his candid opinions throughout the entire qualifying process.

“The qualification hasn’t been pretty, but I have to praise our character and say that even in the less than ideal or tense matches, we have managed to bring the results home with our character,” he remarked.

This character was questioned after Denmark only scraped a win past San Marino during the last international break, and the Tottenham player was asked if it had been present during the loss to Northern Ireland.

That’s a risky question, he said, but when you lose a football game like that and the way it goes, I can’t say no. For them, it was a little too simple.

On a personal level, the Tottenham midfielder isn’t enjoying the finest season to date with his team since, unlike under past managers, he is having more difficulty finding minutes under Ange Postecoglou.

Due to the fact that the 28-year-old has only started two Premier League games and has made 11 appearances mostly from the bench, he has been linked to a move abroad during the January transfer window. Teams like Juventus and Atlético Madrid are reportedly interested in signing him.
