Oklahoma women’s basketball hires Pauline Love as associate head coach
Oklahoma women’s basketball has hired Pauline Love as an associate head coach, per its announcement on the social platform X.
Love arrives with eight years of SEC experience after stints at Alabama as a recruiting coordinator from 2024-25 and Arkansas as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from 2017-24. Specifically at Alabama, the Crimson Tide finished with a 24–8 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third time since 2000. At Arkansas, she contributed to the Razorbacks making two NCAA Tournament appearances and signing three McDonald’s All-Americans. Love also coached three players selected in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

What makes her truly special though is her ability to connect with student-athletes, staff and everyone around her. Pauline’s passion for people and the game will elevate our program, and we can’t wait to get started with her here in Norman.”
OU and Baranczyk, coming off a Sweet 16 appearance, present excitement for Love.

I’ve learned so much from the amazing coaches I’ve worked alongside, and I’m looking forward to continuing that growth under coach Baranczyk.”
The addition of Love comes after former associate head coach Jonas Chatterton became the head coach of San Jose State in April.
