Oklahoma softball continued its winning tradition in its inaugural SEC season, collecting nine conference honors announced Friday.
Head coach Patty Gasso was named SEC Coach of the Year after leading the Sooners to the 2025 SEC Regular Season Championship with a 17-7 record. The award marks Gasso’s 16th conference coach of the year but first in the SEC.
Landry earned SEC Newcomer of the Year, while securing spots on the All-SEC First and SEC All-Defensive teams. The senior right-hander has dominated the circle with a 19-4 record and 154 strikeouts across 150.2 innings this season. Landry ranks first nationally among active pitchers with 82 career wins and has tossed 15 complete games and held opponents to a .195 batting average.
Oklahoma placed three players on the All-SEC First Team, with redshirt freshman Nelly McEnroe-Marinas and sophomore Kasidi Pickering joining Landry. McEnroe-Marinas tied for the SEC lead with 11 home runs in conference play and was named to the NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 list. Pickering, a preseason All-SEC selection, lived up to expectations by hitting .384 against SEC opponents with 14 home runs, 45 RBIs and an impressive .516 on-base percentage.
Freshman Gabbie Garcia received All-SEC Second Team recognition and was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team. The shortstop has committed just three errors in 149 chances this season and has excelled defensively throughout conference play. Garcia made headlines in March when she homered in five consecutive games, becoming the first OU freshman to accomplish the feat since Jocelyn Alo.

Agbayani rounded out Oklahoma’s honorees with a spot on the SEC All-Defensive Team. Agbayani has committed only one error all season, with that miscue not coming until April 25.
The No. 2 Sooners face No. 6/7 Arkansas in the SEC Tournament Semifinals on Friday.
