The Arkansas Razorbacks are emerging as one of the top college basketball programs in the country, led by head coach John Calipari.

Calipari embarked on his first season as head coach of the Razorbacks this past season, leading the team to the Sweet 16.

After a respectable NCAA Tournament run, where Arkansas defeated Kansas and St. John’s, Calipari and his staff turned their focus to the recruiting trail.

One of the latest players to commit to Arkansas, following Calipari’s first season with the SEC program, was South Carolina transfer Nick Pringle.

Pringle, who has played one season at South Carolina, two seasons at Alabama and one season at Wofford, will now be playing under one of the top coaches in college basketball history.

After announcing his commitment to Arkansas, Pringle shared high praise for Calipari, mentioning that he “fights for his players.”

“This is the best opportunity for me,” Pringle said. “I have been trying to find the right fit-a coach who is family-oriented, fights for his players, and is loyal. I want to give my all and be a sponge. I will be surrounded by players who want to win and play in the NBA because that is my goal.”

Pringle followed his comments on Calipari with a confident take on Arkansas’ roster along with the atmosphere with the Razorbacks.

“Our roster is coming together really well,” Pringle said, per Paul Biancardi. “We have a lot of talent to win, but it will come down to our chemistry. How we put the pieces together will determine our success. When I played here with Alabama, it was the first time my ears were ringing. There is great fan support here.”

Last season, Pringle averaged 9.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.During his four-year college basketball career, Pringle posted 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.
