Ange calls 18-year-old wizard up to Tottenham training pre-Liverpool, he’s ‘the best of his generation’
Tottenham Hotspur have produced some top talents in recent years and there’s another one now being tipped for stardom.
The guy in question is Jamie Donley, and he has been seen practicing ahead of Tottenham’s match against Liverpool.
The Tottenham website posted pictures of its players working out on Thursday in preparation for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds’ visit to N17.
In one image, Donley is identified as part of the “Deki, Ben, Destiny, Jamie Donley, Eric Dier and Pape in non-bibs team.”
It’s wonderful to witness the 18-year-old work alongside the veterans, especially in light of the importance of the next match against Liverpool.
In addition to being a testimonial to his abilities and potential, he will gain valuable insight from his peers.
‘He’s one to watch out for’
Donley is causing a stir in the Tottenham academy and is expected to become a future star for the club.
He has played in six Premier League 2 games this season, recording an astounding six assists and one goal.
Additionally impressive in the EFL Trophy, Donley scored two goals and provided one assist against Colchester.
Donley has been referred to as a “natural footballer” who is highly “elegant and skilful” by Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic.
He claims that the young man is regarded as “the best of his generation” at N17 while speaking on the View From The Lane podcast earlier this year.
Pitt-Brooke stated, “I believe the best young player they have is a youngster named Jamie Donley.
He was born in Northern Ireland, and I’ve actually watched him play. He was excellent in that game.
He plays football naturally, spends a lot of time on the ball, and is graceful and skilled.
He was a front-line player, but I understand he can also play in attacking midfield.
He is considered to be the best player of his generation emerging at Tottenham at the moment, so keep an eye out for him. He is very highly rated.
