Ange Postecoglou‘s side have been mightily impressive up to now in their previous four friendly games this summer.

However, the South Korean heat may have caught up with Tottenham who looked out on their feet against the German giants.

It is now time for the north London club to return home for two weeks of final preparation before their season opener against Leicester City.

Although Pedro Porro was able to halve the deficit, it has to be said Bayern had the better of the game in Seoul.

That was Bayern’s first game over in Asia and forward Thomas Muller had a few things to say about what he seen from Spurs after the game.

Something really impressed Thomas Muller about Tottenham

Clearly, the Spurs players were feeling the effects of their double sessions and games in the South Korean heat on Saturday.

It was not the energetic display that Spurs treated the crowd to on Wednesday against the K League All Stars.

Tottenham will now have a week to recover before they go again against Bayern. Yes, Spurs will face Bayern again next week at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Germans certainly capitalised on a tired Spurs team but it seems Muller was still impressed by something he saw from Postecoglou’s side.

Speaking in the wake of the game, the legendary forward, Muller, admitted he was impressed with the intensity shown by Tottenham.

“Today’s match was very intense. The intensity is always high in clashes with Tottenham but our plan worked very well,” Muller told the Bayern website.

“We should’ve led by more at half-time. Overall we feel good. Considering that many players resumed training just a few days ago and then we go and produce a first half like that, I’m satisfied. So may it continue.”

Joshua Kimmich was also impressed by Tottenham

It seems as if it was not just Muller who was wowed by something noticed about Tottenham in Seoul.

Joshua Kimmich also spoke after the game of his thoughts on the style of football with Postecoglou’s side looked to imprint on the game.

“You could already see a certain thumbprint. I think it was nice for the spectators too, it went back and forth,” he said.

“Both teams played attacking football and pressed one-on-one. I’m very hungry for the new season and we have ambitious goals together.”
