Brendan Rodgers and Pep Guardiola will meet on the touchline tonight when Celtic continue their pre-season preparations vs Manchester City.

The Hoops are in the USA for their training matches and will go toe-to-toe with the Premier League champions as they look to get minutes into the legs of their top talents before attempting to retain the title this coming campaign. It’s sure to be a difficult evening despite City bringing mostly academy starlets but Celts have already had a head start with four other friendly fixtures so far.

They smashed DC United 4-0 earlier this week but City will present a different challenge altogether and it’s one fans and the players are looking forward to.

Kasper Scheme I Helped could be handed a debut for Celts after joining his teammates while Villain Sinisalo might also be used between the sticks. Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers’ are unlikely to be involved due to their participation recently at Copa America while Scotland internationals Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, James Forrest and Anthony Ralston could start. Daizen Maeda may return to the fold.

Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are both available. Jack Grealish, Ederson and Erling Haaland have all been named in their 27-man squad.
