‘I want to manage Tottenham’ :TOP European manager already eyeing Ange’s Job

Journalist tips six-time league winning manager to replace Postecoglou at Tottenham

Italian journalist Massimo Brambati has mooted former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri for the Tottenham Hotspur job.

The former footballer told Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb that the 56-year-old told him two weeks ago that he would love to work in the Premier League but is yet to get any offers.

Brambati claims that while former Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici is still under a worldwide 30-month ban from working in football, he still works with Tottenham and could be open to recommending Allegri for the job.

Elements of Paratici’s suspension have since been lifted, allowing him to continue advising the North London club on a consultancy basis, and he also remains close to the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Postecoglou finished his debut campaign with Tottenham with a fifth-place finish in the Premier League despite the initial promises shown by his team at the beginning of 2023-24, and while he was briefly linked with the Liverpool job, he is expected to remain in charge of the Lilywhites for the foreseeable future.

However, Allegri could emerge as a serious option for Levy going forward should there be a need to replace Postecoglou, and suitors will be able to land him without paying compensation after he parted ways with Juve last month.

Apart from his relationship with Paratici, the former AC Milan boasts an impressive C.V, with six Serie A titles and five Italian Cups to his name.

He has also won three Italian Super Cups and has reached the final of the Champions League twice, and Spurs could do with such a serial winner as they look to end their trophy drought.

There is still belief within the club that Postecoglou is capable of delivering their first piece of silverware since 2008 very soon, but the Australian has to get the job done as soon as possible as patience wears thin quickly at this level.
