Wrexham are set to have a transfer budget of £30m in the summer transfer window, Football Insider has claimed.

The Red Dragons have won back-to-back-to-back promotions to rise from the National League to the second tier in three straight campaigns. It is a rise unseen before, bankrolled by the high profile Hollywood ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Phil Parkinson needs to be well backed ahead of the rise to Championship football though, and it would appear that he is going to be.

A previous report from Sky Sports said Wrexham were planning a big spending summer with ambitious targets eyed and now, Football Insider has claimed their transfer kitty for the upcoming window will come in at a hefty £30m.

Significant spending has been green-lighted in the interest of making a positive impact in the second tier and with a number of senior players departing at the end of their contracts, they have been cleared to sign high profile replacements.

Other players are sure to move on from the Red Dragons, though they are unlikely to be at risk of losing big assets they intend to keep.
