Video: Tottenham and Manchester United players hit it off at the tunnel; Strict investigation begins

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed that three Tottenham stars have picked knocks from the Manchester United clash.

Tottenham return to winning ways against Man United

Spurs have finally put behind them a disappointing few weeks, with a 1-0 win against a struggling Manchester United side.

This victory makes it back-to-back wins for the Lilywhites in the Premier League – a feat that has not been reached throughout this season.

This spirited display comes at a point where manager Ange Postecoglou, was given a respite on the injury front as five injured players returned to the squad.

Ange Postecoglou says three Spurs stars picked up knocks

James Maddison marked his return from injury with the winning goal for Spurs. However, Ange Postecoglou has now confirmed fresh injury concerns for Danso, Rodrigo Bentancur, and captain Heung-min Son.

He told football.london: “Danso, Rodri and Sonny all picked up knocks. They should be fine but the beauty now is that we can allow them to rest and recover rather than throwing them straight back out there.”

During the game, Ange Postecoglou was able to gradually ease in all his returning players. James Maddison got a good 62 minutes, Wilson Odobert got six minutes, Brennan Johnson 26 minutes and Guglielmo Vicario played the entire ninety minutes.

How long do Tottenham have before their next game?

With Spurs out of the Carabao and FA Cup but already through to the Europa League round of 16, they are to return to Premier League action in six days this Saturday with an away clash against Ipswich Town.

Postecoglou’s men will be hoping to build on their back-to-back win by making it three wins on the bounce in the League.

However, a victory would not come easy for the north London club as they suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to the Tractor Boys at home the last time the two met in the Premier League.
