I’m ready to train the Pakistan players for free, legendary batsman who scored over 10,000 runs says

Iconic Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has announced that he is ready and willing to “train players for free” if it helps improve the state of domestic cricket in the country.

Younis’ comments come at a time when the national team has failed to produce positive results.

Pakistan recently took on Bangladesh in a two-Test series in Rawalpindi and despite playing on home soil, they were comprehensively beaten 2-0.

Younis knows there are glaringly obvious problems right from the grassroots level and insisted that he is committed to developing players and ensuring they are ready for the hardships of international cricket.

“Players like me shouldn’t be kept away from the PCB. I’m willing to train players for free if it helps improve the domestic structure,” the 46-year-old, who scored over 10,000 runs in Test cricket, was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

After the Bangladesh series, many of the cricketers featured in the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a domestic 50-over tournament held in Faisalabad.

Currently, Pakistan are facing England in a three-match Test series, which began on October 7 in Multan.
