West Brom host Millwall at The Hawthorns today as they look to return to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.

West Brom have had a strong start to the season and are 4th after the opening eight games. Defeats to Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday have seen their unbeaten start come to an abrupt end though.

Carlos Corberan’s side have the top scorer in the division in Josh Maja, who has seven goals. He’ll be out to get himself back on the scoresheet against Millwall as the hosts look to get back to winning ways.

The Baggies will see the game against Millwall as an opportunity to get back on track. A victory could see West Brom return to the top of the table should other results go their way.

Millwall lost to bottom-of-the-league Cardiff City in midweek and will want an improved performance against Corberan’s side.

Grady Diangana missed the game against Middlesbrough despite an impressive cameo in the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

West Brom boss Corberan revealed to the Birmingham Mail that he may return at the weekend. He said:

“He trained Thursday and he trained Wednesday, too. Still, I didn’t talk with the medical staff to see how they see him before the game, but I think he’s still an option to be involved – let’s say 50/50.”

Otherwise, there are no fresh injury concerns for Corberan with long-term absentee Daryl Dike being the only man out. He too is on the comeback trail after a long spell on the sidelines though.

Corberan could look to make three changes following back-to-back defeats for West Brom. Jason Molumby, Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnston could all to come in as they look to turn their fortunes around.

Molumby replaces Uros Racic in the midfield, as the Irishman could face his former club. Fellows and Johnston replace Jed Wallace and Karlan Grant on the wings to add some extra attacking intent after failing to score against Middlesbrough.

Alex Mowatt will continue in midfield after his excellent start to the campaign.
