Here We Go: Fabrizio Romano shares exciting Nottingham Forest transfer news

Nottingham Forest are now leading the race to sign £13m defender who wants to play at the City Ground

Nottingham Forest are not looking like stopping anytime soon in the transfer market as they look to add signing number seven.

Nuno Espirito Santo has certainly been back by Evangelos Marinakis this summer as he has seen six players added to his squad.

There had even been suggestions from Brazil that Forest had secured the signing of Ramon Sosa earlier this week.

That has turned out not quite to be the case, but it seems as if Forest are still keen to strike whilst the iron is hot and land their seventh signing.

Despite their efforts to land Sosa still rumbling away in the background, there is another player who the Reds are desperate to bring in this summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo is coaching Nottingham Forest during the Pre-season Friendly match between Nottingham Forest and Villareal CF at the City Groun…

Nottingham Forest determined to sign Olympian this summer

The business done by Forest in the summer market has been pretty impressive on the back of such a difficult 2023/24 campaign.

And those players are already showing their worth on the pitch with goalkeeper Matz Sels sharing his delight in playing with Nikola Milenkovic.

The trip to Spain proved to be a valuable one for the Reds with the summer signings able to bond with their new teammates as well as work on their fitness.

Although any new signings have missed the trip to Spain, Forest could still bring in a couple of additions before their season opener.

According to Le 10 Sport, Forest are making an effort on almost a daily basis to land Bradley Locko from Stade Brestois.

Locko is currently impressing with the French Olympic squad in Paris with the links to the left-back going on since last month.

With Napoli having also shown an interest in the defender, it is believed Forest have now taken the lead to sign the 22-year-old.

With Brest standing firm in their €15m (£13m) valuation of the defender, it is believed Locko is keen to make the move to the City Ground.

Ola Aina has also impressed for Forest at left-back

Forest’s latest pre-season friendly came at home on Friday night against Villarreal which ended in a 0-0 draw.

One player who shone in the first game back on home soil this summer was Ola Aina who was playing in that left-back spot.

The 27-year-old played over an hour in front of the City Ground crowd and Aina received big praise from journalist Paul Taylor.

“Ola Aina has been impressive again tonight… he also has even outdone Murillo in the massive shorts stakes,” said Taylor.
