Well, Jamie O’Hara has been raving about Tottenham Hotspur forward Timo Werner on Sky Sports.
Werner joined Tottenham on loan from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window. Spurs have the option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2024 for £15.5 million, as revealed by HITC.
Former Tottenham player and talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has given his verdict on Werner.
O’Hara has noted how the former Chelsea player is perfect for the way that Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou plays his football.
Werner has made two appearances in the Premier League since his loan move to Tottenham in the January transfer window. The £164,000-a-week (SalarySport) 27-year-old Germany international forward has given two assists in those games. Micky van de Ven has been impressed.
O’Hara said on Sky Sports News: “Timo Werner has been a good signing and Ange Postecoglou will get the best out of him.
“You can see he’s got pace. He’s dynamic and he fits the criteria of what we’re trying to do in terms of the style of football.”
The pundit added: “Timo Werner is a good player. He causes problems, he is quick, he is pacy.”
My View: Timo Werner a no-risk signing for Tottenham
Timo Werner is, in my opinion, a risk-free addition for Tottenham Hotspur. I understand why Tottenham Hotspur Stadium acquired the forward during the January transfer window.
Although Werner doesn’t score many goals, he is fast, energetic, and a danger to the opposing defense.
Spurs have the option to extend the forward’s loan agreement, so if he performs poorly for the squad in the upcoming weeks and months, they may simply send him back to RB Leipzig.
