Brisbane Lions forward Eric Hipwood has sent a strong message to fans and coach Chris Fagan, declaring “It’s not over yet” as the club looks to revive its 2025 AFL campaign.

After a turbulent start to the season, the Lions showed renewed determination during last weekend’s close win, with Hipwood delivering a standout performance. Speaking post-match, the veteran forward emphasized belief within the playing group remains high.

“We’ve had our setbacks, but there’s still a fire in this group,” Hipwood said. “We believe in each other, and we believe in what Fages has built here.”

Coach Chris Fagan, under mounting pressure, welcomed Hipwood’s public show of support. “Eric’s leadership on and off the field is what we need right now,” Fagan noted.

With finals still within reach, Brisbane will need to build momentum fast. But if Hipwood’s words are anything to go by, the Lions aren’t ready to surrender just yet.
