After making an impression the previous season, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is receiving support from the team during the summer transfer window.

Following losses to Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool in the final few weeks of the season, Postecoglou was not allowed to play in the Champions League.

But the football he used at the Tottenham Stadium was acknowledged and commended by the football community.

His top priorities for the summer transfer window will be acquiring a new striker and a wide attacker as he looks to solve the problems in his squad.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are interested in signing the Wolves winger Pedro Neto and they have been in regular contact with his agent.

A deal between the two clubs depends on the fee and it remains to be seen how much Wolves will be demanding for the pacey winger, who has faced injury issues in his career in the Premier League.

Romano told GiveMeSport:

They communicate with Pedro Neto’s agent on a daily basis. It actually depends on the charge for Pedro Neto. Tottenham would be willing to try again for Pedro Neto because of his numerous injuries, but only under regular circumstances—not under extreme ones.

Because of this, Wolves are also involved. Newcastle United is apparently interested in signing the midfielder, who Wolves supposedly value at £60 million, in addition to Tottenham.

Neto scored two goals and made nine assists in 20 Premier League games last season, but his outstanding campaign was marred by health problems.

Tottenham need a player like Neto in their attack

This summer, Spurs will be trying to come to an agreement to sign him for a reasonable transfer fee.

The 24-year-old will provide pace, creativity and inventiveness from the flanks, something that is desperately needed at Spurs.

Along with players like Heung-min Son, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevki, Neto can become a part of a devastating attack at Spurs.
