The North Londoners have made a pretty quick start to the summer transfer window having already signed Timo Werner and Archie Gray.

With that said, it has just come to light that they’re on the verge of sign.

According to Turkish outlet Aksam, Tottenham are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Fenerbahce winger Sebastian Szymanski.

Negotiations are thought to be in the final stages between the two clubs as they look to finalise a permanent deal.

Spurs have been tracking the Poland international for some time and a move has now accelerated following his Euro 2024 exit.

A £21m bid plus add-ons has been launched and the Turkish club view the proposal in good light – so it seems an agreement is near.

Sebastian Szymanski profile

Tottenham have been eager to land a versatile forward this summer and it seems they have their man.

The 25-year-old can operate as a right-winger, a number 10 and even as a number eight, thus providing Postecoglou with plenty of depth in a number of areas.

Szymanski, labelled as ‘superb’ by Total Football Analysis, netted 13 times whilst laying on 19 assists last season, taking his total goal contributions to a staggering 32.

If Spurs do land his signature this summer, it’d be a really smart deal for a reasonable fee, too.

Manchester City are not planning to bid for £60m Premier League ‘superstar’ with Tottenham very interested

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer plans may have just been given a big boost in the race to sign one of their top targets.

The Lilywhites have been able to add to their frontline by retaining Timo Werner for the 2024/25 campaign on a season-long loan.

  • However, Ange Postecoglou‘s options in attack are currently as they were in the final game of last season.

Tottenham remain in need of adding to their options with the future of Richarlison uncertain with interest in the striker from Saudi Arabia.

It now appears the path may have been cleared for Daniel Levy to make his move for one of the club’s top targets this summer with Manchester City no longer planning a move.
