Player Power: The striker is driving Celtic’s first summer Signing.

Adam Idah seems to be pressuring Norwich City to sign him to a Celtic contract.

After completing a Deadline Day deal that did not contain a permanent move option, the striker had an incredible loan term.

Celtic’s double triumph, which was capped off by an incredible late winner in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden, was largely due to nine crucial goals.

Idah kept diplomatic about his options after picking up his winners medal but after Celtic declared their interest with a bid on Thursday it seems that the player has made his intentions known.

In a story updated at 6.03 this morning the Daily Record reports:

Adam Idah is close to joining Celtic again. On Wednesday, the Hoops made their approach for the striker, who is valued at £6 million. The two clubs are currently in a more advanced level of talks.

Celtic has made great strides, and an agreement is almost reached. It is anticipated that Idah will be granted authorization to travel north for meetings, a check-up, and to write a document.

The outstanding player from Ireland has expressed to Norwich City his desire to return to the Scottish champions in the summer.

Norwich had made it clear that new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup wanted to run the eye over Idah in pre-season but the player has made his position clear. The 23-year-old wants to go back to Celtic to play under Brendan Rodgers again. He is now set to get his wish.
