Contract Termination: Tottenham Takes Though Richarlison Decision

To replace Richarlison at number nine, Bryan King has encouraged Tottenham to sign a fresh player.

The 28-year-old’s tenure with the team hasn’t been fruitful, in the opinion of the former Spurs scout.

According to a report published on June 25 by Football London, Tottenham is open to considering offers for Richarlison this summer.

However, King has recommended that the team think about taking things a step further in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News.

According to King, “being bought for a huge sum of money also means you’re on enormous wages.”

Thus, finding a team ready to pay Richarlison’s salary or cutting him go will be the only ways the Spurs can get rid of him.

The settlement fee to release him from his contract would be very large. However, the club do need to get rid of him.

They bought him for over £50million, and it hasn’t worked out. They need a new number nine.”

Will Richarlison start for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham next season?

It seems incredibly unlikely that the club would terminate Richarlison’s contract at this point.

He still contributes enough to warrant a place in the squad, although there are certainly question marks over whether or not he should be starting for the club.

As unlikely as a contract termination is, Spurs receiving a big-money transfer offer is perhaps just as unfeasible.

As a result, it looks as if Richarlison will still be at the club next season, which leaves Ange Postecoglou with a decision to make.

In other Tottenham news, the club are preparing to make a push to sign an “outstanding” Premier League midfielder.
