West Ham United submit £30m bid for Wolves ace Max Kilman as £35m transfer news emerges

West Ham have tabled another offer for Wolves defender Max Kilman in the region of £30million, according to the Sun.

The newspaper reported via its print edition on 23 June, page 56 that Wolves have turned that down as well after previously rejecting a £25million offer for the 27-year-old. [Shropshire Star]

While Wolves want £45million for him, the Hammers do not value him higher than £35million as they eye defensive reinforcements this summer.

The Hammers must not simply pay the £45million Wolves are demanding for Kilman.

While the Englishman is a talented defender who could strengthen West Ham’s backline, every club quotes a higher asking rate for their players.

At 27 years old, Kilman is entering his prime but has never played for a top club or in European competitions and that lack of experience can prove to be costly.

His £45million valuation seems to be based more on potential than on proven performance.

The Hammers have already seen Wolves reject two offers in the £25-30 million range but they should continue negotiating rather than caving to Wolves’ demands.

By holding firm, the London club can force the Molineux outfit to lower their asking price.

The Hammers have other defensive targets and cannot allow themselves to be held hostage to Wolves’ valuation of Kilman.

Sad News: Footage of ‘Absolute Disaster’ for West Ham star emerges

Edson Alvarez was “visibly distraught” when the West Ham star suffered a hamstring injury on Saturday night, according to Premier Sports.

Alvarez, 26, was captaining Mexico in their opening Copa America game against Jamaica before he was forced off with what looked like a hamstring injury in the 29th minute.

Premier Sports shared footage of the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning (23 June), saying it’s potentially an “absolute disaster” for West Ham.

Alvarez looked to be in a lot of pain when he went down in the 27th minute.

He was holding his left hamstring after pulling up while Jamaica were launching a counter-attack.

The West Ham enforcer will no doubt be pleased that Mexico went on to win the game 1-0 thanks to a Gerardo Arteaga goal in the 69th minute.

However, the Mexicans would have no doubt won a lot easier against Michail Antonio’s Jamaica if they had Alvarez on the pitch.
