Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal is ready to join European giants AC Milan.
The North London club are all set to make quite a few changes to their squad ahead of next season and Emerson Royal is one of the players who has been linked with a move away from the club.
The Brazilian full-back is not considered to be an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou’s system and Spurs are all set to sanction his departure. AC Milan are the ones who are keen on his signature and according to Corriere della Sera via SportWitness, the former Barcelona star has given his approval to a move to the Italian giants.
The Brazilian right-back is surplus to requirement at Tottenham. While he did feature in 24 matches last term, the The bulk of those outings were necessary due to a back injury crisis. Although Emerson’s contract with the North London club is still two years away, they are prepared to let him go for €20 million.
The Brazilian full-back has been connected to AC Milan for some time now. The athlete has already consented to a transfer to Italy, so there won’t be any issues with his personal terms. Given that the player is available for €20 million, Milan appears to have a good chance of closing the deal.
But as of right now, Emerson is not Milan’s top priority. Tottenham’s patience may be put to the test as they attempt to unload the Brazilian and go for a top-tier striker first.
