Arizona Wildcats star Caleb Love on Wednesday announced his decision regarding the NBA Draft.
Love announced in a video he will return to Arizona for one more season, taking advantage of his fifth year of eligibility. He had declared for the draft in April, but maintained his eligibility.
“Wildcat Nation, it’s been so amazing the way you’ve welcomed me and showered me with love. No way I can walk away from all of that right now. The show goes on,” Love said in the video.
Love was unlikely to be a first-round pick, so a return to Arizona makes sense. He averaged 18 points per game with the Wildcats last season, his first with Arizona after transferring from North Carolina.
Love’s stock was a bit higher a few years ago, when he played a big role on a Tar Heels team that made it to the national championship game. He ultimately decided to leave North Carolina after the 2022 season.
Arizona should be a strong contender next season with Love back in the fold alongside backcourt mate Jaden Bradley.

After recently receiving an offer from the UNC basketball program, this four-star talent seems to really be intrigued by the possibility of becoming a Tar Heel.
Following the recent open recruiting period, the UNC basketball program extended an offer to four-star big man Malachi Moreno.

This was an offer that seemed to be destined, as the Tar Heels have been showing interest in him for quite some some time now. After doing its research, North Carolina felt confident enough to commit to courting the Georgetown, Kentucky native.
Although Moreno attended the latest USA Men’s U18 National Team Training Camp, he was ultimately left off of the 12-player roster. In any case, Moreno had a terrific time competing against some of the best athletes in the nation.
The 6-foot-11 big man recently spoke with Matt Whitfield of ZagsBlog about his current recruiting efforts, and he had some excellent things to say about the UNC basketball program:
“I love UNC. I love Coach Sean May. Me and Coach Davis talked the other week and it was a pretty good conversation. He’s a very funny guy. And it’s just a fun atmosphere to be around.”
Moreno added that Kentucky, Indiana, Baylor, North Carolina, Ohio State, and Iowa are the schools that are prioritizing him right now. Not only did the Tar Heels extend the offer, but seem to be putting on a full-court push for him to be given priority while recruiting.
Sean May, a seasoned NBA player and previous national champion, is a great person to learn from if you’re a big man. Given that Hubert Davis has also seemed to create a positive first impression with his personality and sense of humor, it looks that Moreno and May have already developed a close relationship.
The UNC basketball program appears to be genuinely considering this recruit, so it will be interesting to watch. Given his home state of Kentucky and Indiana’s long-standing presence in the race, they will have to deal with some formidable opponents, but the Tar Heels might have the magic formula to persuade him to enter.
