Pundit admits it would be ‘unbelievably painful’ to see one player join Spurs

Pat Nevin has admitted that while it would hurt to see Conor Gallagher in a Tottenham shirt, the midfielder would be a better fit for Spurs than he is for Chelsea.

Approaching the summer transfer window, rumors that Gallagher is moving across London to Tottenham get stronger.

The Sun reported last week that Spurs intend to pursue the midfield player very early in the transfer season and that they are aware of Chelsea’s requirement to raise money before the end of June.

The source also stated that the Lilywhites intend to complete the England international before the preseason kicks off.

Gallagher and his representatives now acknowledge that their time at Stamford Bridge is probably coming to an end this summer, according to information obtained by HITC a few days ago.

Although Mauricio Pochetitno would like to keep the 23-year-old at his boyhood club, the source stated that the player’s entourage is aware that a sale is possible due to the club’s financial problems and their client’s contract status.

Nevin acknowledged that Pochettino might not have control over Gallagher’s circumstances, but he also hinted that the midfield player would flourish under Ange Postecoglou.
