A little panic as Tottenham move in for signing – Got their eyes on the prize, and that causes worry

Tottenham Hotspur have had their eyes set on Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori, just days after having secured a deal for Radu Dragusin from Genoa in January.

According to Tutto Juve, the Spurs are leading the race for the center back as of March 27. We broke word earlier this month from Italy that the North London club is prepared to resume their Serie A negotiations for the 21-year-old.

Over the weekend, Tuttosport revealed that Tottenham and Juventus are vying for Calafiori during the summer transfer season.

TuttoMercatoWeb, which offers more information on the potential conflict between the two clubs, supports this.

In his debut season, the Italy U21 international has excelled under Thiago Motta. This, along with his versatility as a back four and three-man defender, has put him on the radar of numerous teams, including Tottenham and Juventus.

TMW state there’s been talk of the Old Lady’s interest, but they must ‘watch out’ for the ‘rich competition’ from Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Spurs setting their sights on Calafiori worries Juve and may cause concern to Bologna, who are adamant that they won’t let him or other stars leave in the next window.

“We have a squad of players who are demonstrating their strength, we have a coach who we hope will continue with us, when we have greater clarity we will take stock, but this is not the moment. Zirkzee, Ferguson, Calafiori? We would like to keep everyone in red and blue, which is their colour,” Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci said.

Calafiori is a truly impressive prospect but it doesn’t appear that Tottenham needs him. It would surely take an exit for the move to happen.

‘Wow…shocking’ – Hazard makes ‘massive’ Tottenham admission after Liverpool loss at Anfield

Tottenham Hotspur could play a “massive” role for the rest of the season in deciding the fate of the Premier League title race, according to Micky Hazard.

Liverpool suffered a huge blow on Sunday as they lost 1-0 against Crystal Palace at Anfield. Arsenal also lost 2-0 against Aston Villa at the Emirates on Sunday which means Manchester City are now in control of the title race as they lead by two points.

With six games left to play, there could be many twists and turns, and Hazard believes that Tottenham can play a big role here. Tottenham, who are chasing the fourth spot in the league, lost 4-0 against Newcastle United on Saturday and have some tough fixtures coming up.

Spurs will face all three title contenders, and the results could have a massive impact on the title race. Arsenal and Manchester City will play away from home against Spurs, and Liverpool might benefit from those games if the results favour them.

Hazard wrote on X: “Wow some shocking results today, very surprised to see Liverpool Lose, thought they were winning the title to be honest. City obviously favourites now but we have a massive say in who wins it this year with Liverpool City and Gooners to play COYS.”

Tottenham can play a massive role in deciding the title race

The next few games are absolutely vital for Spurs. They have to prepare well ahead of the north London derby and make sure they return to winning ways when they face Arsenal.

Spurs then face Chelsea and Liverpool after that, both away from home, and the game at Anfield could be of great importance for other title rivals.

Man City travel to Spurs on the penultimate game of the season, and if Ange Postecoglou’s side can manage to get something from that fixture, we might have a different league table going into the final day of the league.

Hazard is absolutely spot on that Spurs have a “massive” say in determining the league winner this season.
