Amazing:Ange Postecoglou says ‘fantastic’ 21-year-old could feature for Tottenham against Crystal Palace
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has claimed that Destiny Udogie is in with a shout of featuring on Saturday.
The Spurs boss, speaking to football.london, said on Friday that the 21-year-old has a “chance” of returning to full fitness for the match against Crystal Palace.
After receiving a blow to the knee during Tottenham’s 10 February victory over Brighton, Udogie was unable to play in the ensuing encounter, a loss to Wolves.
The 21-year-old has got a little more time to heal because Spurs weren’t in action the previous week. It appears that he could be returning.
On Friday, Postecoglou gave some team news, including players like Udogie, stating: “Destiny has a chance.”
Since he has training, we’ll watch how he performs. I think Pedro [Porro] is still a week away.
“Richarlison will be out for four to six weeks.” He sustained a minor knee injury during the previous game.
Ryan [Sessegnon] had a bit of a setback after the last game, well a big one.”
Potential Destiny Udogie return a major boost for Tottenham
The Evening Standard previously reported that Udogie is set to make a return for Spurs against the Eagles.
Though Postecoglou hasn’t revealed whether or not the Italy international will play, things appear to be doing well in that regard.
Udogie, who spent the previous season on loan at Udinese, has been outstanding for Tottenham since joining N17 in the summer.
For Spurs this season, the “fantastic” full-back has already made 23 competitive appearances, 21 of which have been in the Premier League.
Jamie Carragher claims that Udogie has been Tottenham’s “big stand-out” player this season.
As the Spurs look to return to winning ways, let’s hope everything goes smoothly and we see him in the starting lineup..
