Eberechi Eze and James Maddison react to news coming out of Tottenham yesterday
Eberechi Eze and James Maddison have both sent messages to Ryan Sessegnon after the Tottenham Hotspur defender’s latest injury setback.
Ryan Sessegnon has played just seven first-team minutes for Tottenham since February last year.
The 23-year-old sustained a hamstring injury in the previous season, which prevented him from playing until the beginning of current one.
He had a little setback last month in the FA Cup after getting some experience against Burnley.
Just ten days ago, Sessegnon made his Tottenham Under-21s debut, but he was forced off the field in the first half of the match due to another injury.
Spurs revealed Monday that the full-back had surgery on his right hamstring, dealing the former Fulham player yet another devastating blow.
Everechi Eze, a standout for Crystal Palace, and James Maddison, a teammate, have now both written the Spurs defender notes of support.

Sessegnon took to Instagram last night and posted a heartfelt message following yesterday’s announcement.
He wrote: “Gutted beyond belief. Just when I saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and thought I was back doing I’ve experienced another setback in my passion.
“I’ve already traveled this route. I’ll get back up, maintain my composure, and start my recuperation as soon as possible.
“I know this is the greatest way to stop the recurring problems because I had surgery and recovered from a hamstring injury last year, and I also know how strong that hamstring is now.
“I appreciate all of the supportive words you have provided. I’m at a loss for words. At the end of the day, we’re all just people, and I, more than anyone, am heartbroken by a setback. I’ll do every effort to return to that pitch.
I’m speaking for everyone who has experienced this, so please exercise caution when posting anything online. No one chooses to be in this situation, and words hurt.
His teammates, including Maddison, Brennan Johnson, and Micky van de Ven, gathered beneath the post to show their support.
rumored Spurs target Eze expressed his support for the English full-back by leaving a remark below the post.
One can only feel sorry for Sessegnon following such a difficult year in terms of injuries.
Since his arrival to Tottenham in 2019, the former Fulham player’s progress has been severely hindered.
Despite his great potential upon arrival, he has unable to get any traction at Tottenham because of ongoing setbacks.
