According to Jamie O’Hara ‘Richarlison isn’t good enough for Spurs – you have to spend £150m to replace Harry Kane’

EXCLUSIVE: Despite Richarlison’s impressive goal tally for Tottenham this season, ex-Spurs star Jamie O’Hara doesn’t believe the Brazilian is the man to lead the club to trophies

Jamie O’Hara, a former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, doesn’t think Richarlison is capable of leading the team’s front line.

The 37-year-old had a great six-year stint in north London, making 56 appearances, although he was often sent out on loan until permanently departing Spurs in 2011 to sign with Wolves. During his tenure at the club, O’Hara shared the field with some excellent strikers, such as Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, and Jermain Defoe.

After speaking with Richarlison, who has 10 Premier League goals this season, the Englishman said that even if Richarlison has had a much better second season at Spurs, he hasn’t persuaded O’Hara that he is the one who should continue to be the team’s number nine.

Speaking exclusively to Grosvenor Sport, O’Hara said that he doesn’t think the Brazil international is qualified to take Harry Kane’s place at Spurs. Kane left the team in a sensational summer deal to Bayern Munich.

“I don’t think Richarlison is good enough,” he revealed. “I think he’s scoring goals but he’s all round game doesn’t stack up against Harry Kane. Yeah he would get you the odd goal but when I watch him over 90 minutes I just He lacks the genuine star quality of a world-class performer.

“Don’t get me wrong, they are difficult to locate. You are aware that Harry Kane plays for one of the world’s top teams.” O’Hara continued by saying that Spurs would need to spend £150 million on one of two attackers located in Europe in particular if they were to fully replace their all-time top scorer.

“You need to pay £150 million if you want to recruit a player like Harry Kane. Harry Kane is the issue, then. We were quite fortunate that he succeeded at Tottenham and remained there for an extended period of time in an attempt to replace him.
