Patrick Mahomes’ Mother Says She’s Been Impressed by How Taylor Swift Treats Chiefs Fans (Exclusive)
Randi Mahomes opens up about meeting the superstar on the latest episode of the ‘Got It From My Momma’ podcast.
Even the mother of Patrick Mahomes is turning Swiftie!
In an interview that will air on the Got It From My Momma podcast this Friday at midnight, Randi Mahomes discussed her son’s impending Super Bowl LVIII game against the San Francisco 49ers and how Taylor Swift, the newest wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, has impressed her in recent games.
The mother of the Chiefs quarterback, Travis Kelce, was interviewed on the podcast earlier this year, and she was praised by ET in this exclusive clip. “She takes a picture with everybody, like, if she’s going to the bathroom… she’s gonna stop for all the little girls, all the kids and I’m like, ‘You go, girl!'”
“She makes a point, and I’m like, ‘OK, you’ve really got a fan now!'” Randi stated about Taylor. “She really made sure that she feels well, just because you love my daughter-[in-law], who is really quiet, shy, and, you know, doesn’t want attention or anything. She gives me a positive feeling.”
Patrick’s high school sweetheart and wife of almost two years, Brittany Mahomes, has been instrumental in welcoming Taylor into Chiefs Kingdom this season. The pair became fast friends, sharing celebratory hugs as they Watched games at Arrowhead Stadium in Travis’ suite, and Brittany even went on double dates and even girl’s nights out with Taylor!
While Randi praises Taylor for being “the most gracious, sweet girl” and acknowledges that she appreciates her enthusiasm for Travis and the Chiefs, she is also prepared to educate her on team traditions as the big game draws near. Randi is the sister of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes and has a younger brother named Jackson.
Regarding Taylor’s backing of Travis, she remarked, “She’s like, fun, having a good time, and I love to see that.” However, I also think, ‘Hey, we’re superstitious in here.'” I want you to return to your seat. We’ve made jokes and such.

The mother of two and grandmother to Patrick and Brittany’s two children also admitted that the increased This year, there has been a fair amount of focus on the team.
“I’m like, OK, I thought Patrick, being my child, it was a lot,” she said. “Now I’m like, ‘Whoa, I can only imagine [what her parents go through].”
She also mentioned how Taylor has brought more attention to the Chiefs’ friends and family in the media.
“I think I’ve been on the TV once at the game, because I’m usually on the floor with the grandkids or pacing, because I stress,” Randi said. “[Now] I’m aware that people are sort of [observing]. All I’ll do is try to smile. I’m concealing my face and everything while watching the game because I don’t have it in me.”
