Ironically, he is set to be one of the players believed to be making way for Owen Farrell at Racing Metro.
NYAKANE HEADING BACK TO THE BULLS
Recent reports doing the rounds have stated that Trevor Nyakane is set to return to his former club, the Bulls.
As Jake White continues to bolster his team with more experience, Nyakane, who joined Racing from the Vodacom Bulls in 2021, has been linked to a return to Loftus Versfeld, according to the sport on SARugbyMag.
Loftus is no stranger to Springboks veterans thanks to Jake White.
He has signed authors like Marcel Coetzee and Bismarck du Plessis. Moreover, he just signed Willie le Roux, a veteran of the Bok. It is evident from this that he values having seasoned campaigners in his team.
Nyakane leads the Springboks with 67 test caps.
He is also well-known among the Loftus supporters, having played a key role in the team’s Currie Cup victory in Jake White’s first season as head coach.
SPRINGBOKS RETURNING HOME
Nyakane would become the latest Bok to return home. Joining the likes of Wille le Roux (Bulls) and Vincent Koch (Sharks).
Furthermore, Warwick Galant (Stormers), Coenie Oosthuizen (Sharks) and Akker van der Merwe (Bulls) all returned following brief stints abroad. However, Oosthuizen is out of the picture. Whilst, Gelant and van Der Merwe will be fighting to return to the national set up.
