Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Sevilla defender Loic Bade.

The 23-year-old French defender is reportedly being watched by the North London team, according to sources in recent days. El Mira says Tottenham is now the “great favourite” to sign him this month.

The London club is reportedly “actively bidding” to sign the star, who will probably cost €35 million, according to the source. Sevilla might profit handsomely from the player, who they signed for €12 million.

Tottenham need defensive additions and Bade could prove to be a quality signing.

He has shown his quality in La Liga and he is certainly good enough for the Premier League.  Moving to England would be an exciting step up in the player’s career and he will look to prove himself at the highest level.

Eric Dier, a defender for Tottenham, is anticipated to depart the team this month, therefore they will need to find suitable replacements. The Frenchman, who is 23 years old, would be an excellent substitute. Furthermore, athletes with injury issues include Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Tottenham undoubtedly possesses the financial resources to cover the rumored €35 million asking price. If the youngster can swiftly adjust to the Premier League and reach his full potential, the move can end up looking like a huge deal.
