‘Lost some of the spark’… Chris Sutton predicts Brighton v Tottenham result
Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls host Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs at the Amex Stadium, with both sides eager to push on up the table.
Brighton, who has lost its previous three Premier League games, will want to bounce back against a Tottenham team that is starting to form.
Spurs, however, have triumphed in their previous three games, turning the turnaround after their dismal run caused by many injuries and bans.
Tottenham and Brighton have both discovered new personnel concerns. Kaoru Mitoma, who is expected to miss up to six weeks due to an ankle injury, is not available for the hosts.
Cristian Romero is sidelined for four to five weeks with a hamstring issue, so the visitors are without him in the interim.
‘We will get some goals’
Chris Sutton has made a prediction on the outcome of Brighton vs Tottenham in a post on BBC Sport.
According to the pundit, Spurs will prevail 3-2 to get over the halfway point in a thrilling five-goal battle between the two clubs on the south coast.
Sutton remarked, “My initial thought is that we will get some goals.”
“You simply never know what you are going to get from Brighton right now, good or terrible. Tottenham is still in the championship chase, but they were fortunate to cling on and defeat Everton.
“The Seagulls may have lost some of their fire from the previous campaign, but they still have a winning record at home in the Premier League, so I see them challenging Spurs.”

Tottenham will undoubtedly feel more confident with their return to winning ways, but they will also likely be missing a number of important players.
But the Spurs ought to have more than enough to defeat the Seagulls. The assault is still potent, and players like Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have filled in well at the back.
Tottenham will win 2-1 on the south coast, in my opinion.
