Tanguy Ndombele, a midfielder for Tottenham, was brought to Galatasaray in September on a season-long loan, but he hasn’t left an impression on the Turkish team.

When Ange Postecoglou first took over as manager of the Spurs, he thought about bringing the Frenchman back into the first team, but the manager wasn’t impressed with him during the preseason.

In a sense, Ndombele’s loan to Galatasaray was his final opportunity to demonstrate that he is still a quality player. But it appears that he has not passed the exam.

The 26-year-old has made 10 appearances for Galatasaray this season, including four in the Champions League, although he has not yet contributed a goal to the score.

Though Ndombele has only started three of those games, it’s said that Okan Buruk, the manager of the Turkish club, is becoming more and more irritated with him.

Rumor has it that in October, Ndombele and Buruk got into a “furious bust up” over Ndombele buying a burger at a time when he was meant to be trying to lose weight.

His career, which previously seemed promising, has nearly come to an end, and his lack of match fitness may be the reason for his lack of playing time this season.

Galatasaray plan to send Ndombele back to Tottenham early

As of right now, Ndombele is seen negatively by Galatasaray employees, according to reports from Turkey (which Sport Witness reported).

Galatasaray officials are allegedly now “expected to hold a meeting” with Tottenham to talk about “terminating his loan deal early.”

Galatasaray is said to have “started working” in front of the January transfer window following their disastrous Champions League exit.

According to the article, their strategy is to send Ndombele and Angelino back to Tottenham and RB Leipzig, respectively, and then bring in a replacement for the two players.

Ndombele “isn’t part of the manager’s plans in North London,” so Postecoglou would have to decide on him in January.

As a result, Spurs are probably going to try to sell the midfield player this winter, or if they don’t succeed, they might send him back out on loan.

Ndombele was acquired by Tottenham in July 2019 for a club record £63 million, although the acquisition never lived up to either party’s expectations.

He has played for Spurs for 91 games overall, scoring 10 goals throughout that time.

It should come as no surprise that Napoli chose not to sign Ndombele on a permanent basis despite the fact that he helped them win the Serie A championship while he was on loan there last season.
