Declan Rice sends message to Lucas Paqueta after West Ham beat Arsenal
It has been a few days since West Ham battered Arsenal, but it was only last night that Declan Rice decided to be active on Instagram.
The London Stadium hosted a divided reception for the Englishman upon his return. On Wednesday, some supporters stood up to cheer for him, while others chose to jeer Rice.
Although there has been much discussion regarding Rice’s right to be jeered by West Ham supporters, it appears that the Englishman is still well-liked within the team.
One of the Hammers’ greatest players right now, Lucas Paqueta, shared a photo of himself with Rice on his Instagram Story yesterday night.
What a player! The Arsenal player posted the picture again on his Instagram Story. It’s so nice to see you, sir.
West Ham look good even without Rice
Everybody felt Declan Rice’s departure in the summer would be a massive blow for West Ham, but the Irons haven’t been too bad without him.
The Englishman has been replaced in the middle of David Moyes’ park by Edson Alvarez, who has performed incredibly well. Paqueta has also performed admirably, as demonstrated on Wednesday against Arsenal.
When all is said and done, everyone has benefited by Rice joining Arsenal from West Ham. The midfielder will participate in the Champions League, the Gunners have acquired a top-tier player, and the Irons will have made a tidy profit on his sale.
On Rice’s return to the London Stadium this week, West Ham defeated Arsenal, making the victory even sweeter for the supporters. They would have relished that victory, we’re sure.
