‘That’s rubbish’: Harry Redknapp slams suggestions he’s hearing about Tottenham

Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer but former manager Harry Redknapp has slammed suggestions they’re better off without him.

After Daniel Levy eventually gave in and sold his top player, Kane signed a £100 million contract to join Bayern. Since then, everything has gone incredibly well for them, with Tottenham leading the Premier League and Kane dominating in Germany.

Spurs center-forward Heung-Min Son has stepped up to the plate. Harry Redknapp, the former manager, has refuted claims that Spurs would be better off without Kane at the top.

Harry Redknapp says Tottenham would still be better with Harry Kane

Speaking in an interview for The Express, Redknapp admitted he doesn’t think Spurs can win the title.

He believes it would be a different scenario, though, if they still had Kane in addition to the recent additions.

It’s nonsense when people claim that things are better off without Harry Kane. Harry Kane is not better than anyone else. Redknapp declared, “He’s the best center-forward in the world.”

“He would have had about six more assists in addition to his twelve goals if he had stayed at Spurs.” Had they retained Kane, added Micky Van de Ven and James Maddison, they would have had a team capable of winning the league.

On Monday night, Tottenham hosts Chelsea in a match that will once again put their title chances to the test.

Kane would fly in this Postecoglou team

Redknapp is standing by. Harry Kane would be a vital member of this Tottenham team given his style of play.

Even if the Spurs are winning right now, Postecoglou promised to find a spot for Kane on the team and that he would have an impact.

The world’s best teams are all equipped with elite goalkeepers and strikers. Vicario’s acquisition appears to have satisfied Spurs’ goalkeeping requirements. However, they are lacking in quality at the top, especially considering Richarlison’s play.

If Tottenham is serious about winning, they may need to make a move for a new striker.
