Jamie O’Hara claims Tottenham man who was ‘absolutely awful’ last season is now worth £100m

Pundit Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is now worth £100m.

O’Hara was interviewed on TalkSPORT (23/10 9:40am) prior to the final Premier League match of the day.

Tottenham welcomes London rival Fulham as they attempt to reclaim first place.

Following their draw against Chelsea on Saturday night, Arsenal now has the sole lead in the Premier League after nine games.

After their problems under Antonio Conte last season, Ange Postecoglou oversaw one of the fastest turnarounds at Spurs.

The Malian international Yves Bissouma appears to be the player who has benefited the most.

According to Jamie O’Hara, Bissouma didn’t do anything to persuade him that he was competent enough to play for Tottenham.

Now, he reckons the 27-year-old is worth as much as the likes of Declan Rice and Enzo Fernandez.

It’s hard to disagree given how well he’s played this season although Fulham will breathe a sigh of relief that Bissouma is unavailable tonight after his sending-off against Luton before the international break.

“All of a sudden I look at the side now and think, ‘You know what, we’ve got that kind of team back again,” O’Hara stated in reference to Bissouma on TalkSPORT.

You suddenly have a side, Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro, Micky Van de Ven, and James Madison.

“[Yves] Bissouma, Bissouma was written off by everyone. He was dreadful last season.

“He seemed like he had forgotten how to play football the few times I saw him last season.

It was as horrible as seeing Gabby [Agbonlahor] play midfield, to be honest.

And now that it has been turned, Bissouma looks fantastic. He appears to be a $100 million player.

O’Hara isn’t the only pundit gushing about Bissouma this season; Darren Bent also thinks the Tottenham player is ‘amazing’.

The talkSPORT analyst called him “stupid” after his dismissal, but he has obviously been impressed by his improvement this season.

In place of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who battled against Joao Palhinha in the Carabao Cup match against tonight’s opponents, Ange Postecoglou is set to start him tonight.

Although he plays just as well defensively as the Malian, he is unable to receive the ball in the same pressure-filled circumstances as Bissouma, which pushes players like James Maddison to move down deeper in order to gain possession.

Although the opposition tonight may profit from this, Tottenham still has enough talent to defeat Marco Silva’s team.
