Ian Wright fires three-word Tottenham title message amid surprising stat emerges

Ian Wright, a former player for Arsenal, has given his opinion on the likelihood that Tottenham will win the Premier League. With both teams in north London having 20 points out of a possible 24 going into the international break in October, Spurs is the only team above the Gunners in terms of goals scored.
Ange Postecoglou’s team defeated Luton Town 1-0 to start match week seven. Arsenal then defeated Manchester City by the same margin to complete the weekend. While the Gunners’ victory looks far more impressive on paper, Tottenham was forced to defeat the Hatters in the second half while playing with 10 men after Yves Bissouma was dismissed shortly before halftime.
Fortunately, a goal by Micky van de Ven early on spared Bissouma’s face, and Spurs went on to defend bravely for the next 40 minutes after the Dutch international’s initial goal.
He acknowledged in the post-game press conference that “they’ve been fantastic all year, both of them, the entire back four, and Vic [Guglielmo Vicario]. “I think a big part of that is Romero,” says Porro, who is just starting his Premier League career. “When you look at it, it’s Destiny’s first year in the Premier League, Micky’s first year in the Premier League, Vic’s first year in the Premier League, and Porro’s first year, but they’ve got a World Cup winner beside them and I think he makes them feel like they belong. “Micky was exceptional today with how he handled it. We anticipated dealing with a lot of long balls and physicality while playing Luton here, but you know Micky has tremendous physical qualities but he’s also developing and evolving as a player as well.
Postecoglou will be pleased with another shutout and three points, and despite the season’s infancy, Spurs have every right to be there and consider themselves in the Premier League title hunt. On Match of the Day, a statistic that indicated teams who were on 20+ points after eight games had won the championship on 11 separate times brought attention to this fact.
The statistic regarding clubs being above the 20-point barrier gives Spurs real confidence they can accomplish it, with a return to the Champions League being an achievable aim for the season. Only two of the 28 teams who were on this list in prior campaigns did not finish in the top four.
When analyzing Spurs’ prospects while looking at the stat on the screen, Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy couldn’t help but poke fun at Ian Wright. “This is exciting for Tottenham fans, 28 teams, 26 of them with a start like this have ended up in the top four,” Murphy stated.
Then Lineker retorted, “Never mind that, Danny; 11 of them have won championships.” I didn’t want to mention anything because Wrighty is here, and I didn’t want to concern you, he retorted. The legendary Arsenal player quickly clarified his strong opinion that Spurs will win the league, though. He responded confidently, “I’m not worried,” and then he laughed.
Arsenal and Manchester City may start to worry if Spurs maintain this course, even though they will undoubtedly be viewed as the underdogs.
